Turkish dramas have a huge impact on Pakistani society.  In past two years people of Pakistan express more interest and love for Turkish dramas than Pakistani drama industry.  A lot of Turkish dramas have been dubbed in Urdu in the last 4-5 years and break almost all watch time records of Pakistani dramas.

But it’s not in my top 3 dramas list because it represents war more than love and is mixed with a bit of religious views. No offence to anyone but it’s my personal choice I like more love story dramas with happy endings. While most of above drams represents action and fights more than love.

Only three of the above dramas are my most favorite and according to my taste in dramas. If you too like love story, fun based dramas with happy endings then you must watch these three.

Main Ayesha Gul

You know why Ayesha gul   and other two are best and my most favorite of all other dramas. Because these three are lighthearted and less tragic love story based.  

Also, Ayesha Gul is the only drama which help resolve our daily life stress instead of playing with our emotions just like all other common dramas. Its Turkish name is ‘Ayşegül’.  It’s a 2015-2016 drama with around 110 Urdu dubbed episodes on Urdu1 Pakistani channel, also available on YouTube.

Emergency Pyar

This one was so beautifully produced Turkish drama based on doctors and nurses love life. It comes second in my most favorite love story dramas. ‘Acil Ask Araniyor’ is its Turkish name with 4.7/5 audience rating summary on Google. You can watch it in Urdu dubbed on Urdu1 YouTube channel.

Pyar Lafzoon main Kahan

It’s a 2016-2017 based Turkish romantic drama with 31 episodes. Turkish name is ‘Aşk Laftan Anlama’ while in Urdu dubbed its known as Pyar Lafzoon main Kahan. Available on YouTube at Urdu1 Channel.  It has the highest audience rating summary on google (4.9/5 rate).

JOHN WICK 3 Parabellum - Pencils or Guns

GOD DAMN! I completely forgot to watch the classic movie John Wick 3, which I was waiting for so long. It is now showing in Pakistani cinemas. it was first released on 17^th of May in Centaurus Cineplex, The Arena, Cinepax, Cine Gold Plex and many other theaters in Pakistan.

But that’s totally unbelievable, how can I missed to watch JOHN WICK 3, looks like I start forgetting things because watching John Wick chapter 3 was my first priority and was at the top of my to do list on 17^th May 2019. However, I’ve time to watch it on bigger screen as still it’s showing in cinemas.

No doubt John Wick chapter 1 and John Wick chapter 2 were also full of action but this one (JOHNWICK: CHAPTER 3 Parabellum) is much more entertaining, specifically its action is extreme and indescribable. Just watch the trailer, then you’ll realized how much perfect this classic is, in terms of story, action sequence, cinematography and entertainment.

Keanu Reeves plays the major role of John Wick in all three parts. He is a Canadian actor as well as a musician. In part one John Wick received a puppy as gift from his dying wife. But someone killed his dog too, he got angry starts killing everyone who was responsible and involved in the killing of his puppy. In chapter 2, John Wick again starts shooting people to retrieve his stolen Ford Mustang Mach 1 of 1969. 
In search for car he discovered that it was Santino’s game plan for John to complete an impossible task. In the end John Wick breaks the Continental Hotel rules. Because of breaking the rules and by killing a member of high table, he got a $14 million bounty to get killed. 
Now he is the target of cold-blooded murderers and running in New York streets to save his head from shadow international assassins and bounty hunters. I am so much curious about this part, hope he will get rid of all these killers and will be alive at the end.

By the way, why you people are still lying on the beds. Just go now and watch JOHN WICK: Chapter 3 in your near nearby cinemas. But wait a minute, have you seen John Wick Chapter 1 and John Wick chapter 2.! If not, then please watch them before going to see the 3^rd part on bigger screen. I’m damn sure you will not regret after watching this classic movie full of action and trill.

‘BAAJI’ The Film – Ahead of the Curve!

The first teaser of the Pakistani new film ‘BAAJI’ has released last month. The teaser has unveiled the most sensational and a veteran actress of Lollywood; Meera Jee and gorgeous Amina Ilyas. The film directed by Saqib Malik is highly anticipated as a social drama-cum-thriller and it seems auspicious to take the viewers on an epic ride of the year 2019. However, looking at the teaser one can surely say that it has truly lived up to the hype. 

The trailer showcases the dark glamour of the showbiz and how things get really nasty when it comes to lust for fame and money. Along with Meera and Amina as leads, Osman Khalid Butt is playing the role of charming ‘director with a vision’ who looks for a ‘classic face’ to cast in his next project. The film has also starred Ali Kazmi, Mohsin Abbas Haider, Nayyer Ejaz and Nisho Begum as the vital fragments of its ensemble cast.

It seems like the film is inspired by the Bollywood movies ‘Fashion’ & ‘Heroine’. Thus, Film-maker Saqib Malik tries to capture the ugly face of film industry in Baaji by glamming up Meera while Amina is seen as the naive and doe-eyed novice to the Lollywood who dreams to be successful as a Film Star.

As we all know that Showbiz is a cutthroat industry where dog-eat-dog. The superstars of yesterday can go out of league before they even know it, likewise veterans are replaced with fresh faces. So, the director intends to dignify the ebbs and flows of Pakistani cinema by capturing its scale, culture, the personality clashes and rivalries among the stars.

Baaji is going to be debut film of Saqib Malik, who is well known for his TV ads and iconic music videos such as ‘Na Re Na’ & ‘Khamaaj’. Set against the entrouge of a fading Lollywood and the emergence of a new order in the Pakistan film industry, Baaji is sure to leave an imprint and set the screens on fire. The film’s poster has also an intriguing caption, “Every dream has a price”. Audiences can’t wait to be a witness to this dream! ‘Baaji’ presented by ARY Films, will be released on June 28, 2019.

Fawad Khan: From Urbane to Barbarian

When I first heard about Bilal Lashari (director of the Pakistani movie Waar) working on a remake of the film Maula Jatt, the news did not hold much interest for me. However, the news that the film had cast Fawad Khan to play the role of Maula Jatt drew my attention and without further ado, I proceeded to watch the trailer for the movie. As far as Pakistani trailers for movies go, the trailer for ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ seemed quite an improvement as it didn’t give the plot of the story away. What’s more, the film’s trailer showed Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan as an onscreen couple again.

Watching both the actors together in the trailer took me eight years back when the duo made their first appearance in the critically acclaimed drama ‘Humsafar’. The drama, which was a breakthrough for both their careers, left fans with a longing to see both the actors as a couple again because of their brilliant onscreen chemistry. Well, looks like their heart’s desire will finally be fulfilled as the release date of The Legend of Maula Jatt draws closer. Although the film was set to be released on Eid-ul-Fitr 2019 but because of some reasons the release date has been delayed. The film has been said to be the most expensive film to be made in Pakistani history.

The years 2010-2012 were a time when Fawad Khan enjoyed widespread popularity and success because of exceptionally good acting skills in three of his television drama serials which became an instant hit among people. With his impeccable good looks and perfectly delivered dialogues, Fawad became the winner of millions of hearts with his roles as Hassan in Dastaan, Ashar in Humsafar and Zaroon in Zindagi Gulzar Hai. All three of his television serials received popularity on an international level as well. His debut role in the Bollywood film Khoobsurat alongside Sonam Kapoor further gave a boost to his popularity among Indian fans.

The heartthrob Fawad Khan has been the receiver of several awards along with being included in the list of the 100 Most Handsome Guys. It is quite a proud moment for our nation when a Pakistani actor attained the 41^st position on the list, leaving behind actors such as Ryan Reynolds, Leonardo Decaprio and Dwayne Johnson. The British magazine Eastern Eye also listed him as the Sexiest Asian Males.  

A glimpse of the trailer of Khan’s upcoming movie shows him as an uncivilized barbarian fighting his enemy amidst a crowd of onlookers. The Pakistani actor, however, has always landed roles where he got to play the role of a millionaire who has everything in life be it good looks, money, education, a fancy house or even the girl he likes. It makes me wonder whether he will be able to do justice to Maula Jatt’s role which seems so unlike anything he has ever played before. However, his stares in the trailer seemed as intense as they did in all his previous roles which makes me optimistic about the success of his role.

Well it is depressing to say goodbye to the HBO series 'Game of Thrones' I’ve grown up with. It was my most favorite binge watching season. But every TV show has to say goodbye sooner or later no matter how much you love it. I must say Game of Thrones has always been very special and close to my heart.

Lately, in Game of Thrones Season 8 a lot has happened and so many important characters have come to their end. But what has kept me devastated was the second last episode and the most important moment of Cersei’s death… what the heck was that? After all those bitchiness, humiliation, cruelty, how did she die? Under bricks along with her lover! While the innocents were burning alive… Duh! It should have been more than that. She didn’t deserve such easy way out, after all what she has done to the world. It seems like the writers are biased or too kind when it comes to Lannisters to pay the price of their sins.

Moving forward, after all the mess “Mad Queen” has created in Game of Thrones Episode 5, she thought she has got The Iron Throne for what she has been struggling since years. But one thing she didn’t know that death was on its way. Undoubtedly the most interesting character since the day one; Tyrion Lannister, who has been defeating the death since GOT season 4. Once again he used his extra ordinary intelligence and survived! Not only survived but also become the hand of King ONCE AGAIN! Oh wait! you don’t know the King yet. Do you?

Let me make things easy for you. After the so called war, rather destruction of the city Kings Landing, John Snow went to his Queen and while expressing his love he abandoned Danny and killed her with his sword, which was of course the influence of the dwarf’s smart mouth.

So, in order to make the world a better place they chose their new King… and I’m sure nobody expected him. Yes! its Bran Stark… Surprised? Yeah you must be! But it is very disappointing, Bran The Broken has got nothing to be worthy of “King of the Seven Kingdoms” except for going back in the past most of the times. I would have been more convinced by almost any other character, to be honest. I just don’t see why anyone would want him to rule them! He’s so weird!

Although I’m happy for the Jon and Tormund reunited, it’s nice for Jon to have a friend like him. In the end, that Game of Thrones finale was a mixed sack for me. I’m not sure how much it made ACTUAL SENSE in terms of how we’ve seen this world to work.

A catchy phrase that keeps you hooked from the very first episode of the Netflix show Gossip Girl Season 1. Starting off with a wonderful cast including Blake Lively, Leighton Meester and my favorite Penn Badgley. The story revolves around a group of over privileged teens in Manhattan’s upper east side and an outsider mysterious entity who leaks out their deadliest secrets. Clearly gossip girl does not feel belonged to upper east siders’ fancy world. So, she makes sure not to let go of any tip she gets to reveal the secrets publicly and drives out the worst in them for the sake of keeping her blog spicy and sensational.

What makes Gossip Girl worthwhile is how it goes against the norm, not follows it. Gossip Girl actually puts a distinctive plot by making everyone kind of nice by the end of the day irrespective of their usual cunningness. Although this approach leads to controversial story plot for a soap, but anyhow it worked. Surely people are selfish and mean. At the same time, everybody is treacherous and loved to so party hard acting as status seeker.

Charles Chuck Bass, the manipulative teen seems to have pretty much Sherlock influence, starts as a sinister character -  but his pervert image gets quickly scrubbed off. The story plot consistently makes us feel that he's up to naughty behavior, but he's out to impress his dad, win the girl he loves, break free of societal stigma, etc. And when his friends need him - he's always there for them, no questions asked.

This element adds oddly-realistic approach to the soap. In Gossip Girl, although the core cast argue, fight and are bitchy to one another, but they're all there for one another in the end. There's not an obvious evidence of affection, but there is an underlying mutual respect and concern.

By using the Gossip Girl Blog as a plot vehicle derives that series has a subtle theme about honesty: truth always prevails. However, in all episodes I'm watching a pattern according to which teen (30-year-old) leads don't just tell one another what's going on. They're all stupidly internalizing everything, which causes chaos, which leads to confusion, which leads to cheating on him with his best friend, hard drug use and hair-pulling in the 3rd floor bathroom.

Gossip Girl, to its credit, never uses this as a twist. The all leads tell one another things and clear misunderstandings, so all the painful little bits and pieces that could burst out, are very rapidly diffused. I love it!  

But... the question remains unanswered that who is that gossip girl? Is it really a she or could be he too? Well we don’t know it yet… but one thing we all know that we love her!
